Tiny apps for Mac · iPhone very soon

Productivity should be fun.

Small apps that each do one thing, look ridiculously good doing it, and come in ten themes. Buy the bundle once and you also get every app we make next. Every single one. Yes, even the weird ones.

Every theme here is a theme in the apps. Press T to flip through them. Go on. Nobody’s watching.

The bundle

One bundle. Every app.
Including the ones we haven’t made yet.

Tracker · Mac, iPhone very soon

A card for every project that’s still alive. Ish.

Each project gets an index card. Flip it over for the next steps. Star the one that actually matters, and Focus lines up every starred step in one calm list. It’s a to-do app that went to therapy.

  • Click a step to start it. Click again to finish it. Feel things.
  • Star one key step per card. Just one. Commitment is healthy.
  • Coming very soon to iPhone: a widget that shows your next step, so you can tick it off without opening anything. Peak laziness, achieved.

Try it → finish every step on the card. There’s a reward. It’s confetti. Manage your expectations.

    Clipper · menu bar

Everything you copy, for ten days.

Press ⇧⌘V to see what you copied, including the thing you copied, then copied over, then desperately needed. Each kind of clip (text, links, code, colors, images, files) gets its own card color, so you find it before your coffee goes cold.

    • Clips move to the archive after a day and are deleted after ten. Very Marie Kondo.
    • Pinned clips stay forever. Or until you unpin them. We’re not your mom.
    • Passwords are never recorded. We don’t want them. Please keep them.

Try it → copy anything on this page. Or, if that sounds like effort, one of these:

Markdown that looks finished while you write it.

A Markdown editor that shows the formatted page as you type, so you never squint at asterisks again. Fourteen page styles: Plain, Night, Newsprint, Solarized, and all ten themes on this site. Yes, we have a problem.

      • Plain .md files. Nothing locked in. Leave whenever you want (you won’t)
      • Opens in a blink. No setup, no account, no “quick survey”
      • Checklists, tables, code and quotes. The classics

Try it → type in the box. Tick a checkbox. Feel powerful.

      Ten themes

The same ten themes, in every app.

Each one changes the paper, the typeface and the little touches. Tap one to dress this whole page in it. Commitment-free. Unlike a tattoo.

      Get the bundle

A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Tracker for iPhone, coming very soon, will need iOS 17.

      Questions, answered simply.

What’s in the Stupidly Simple bundle?

Three Mac apps today: Tracker, a project tracker that keeps each project on an index card; Clipper, a clipboard history manager for the menu bar; and Marker, a Markdown editor that shows formatted text as you type. Tracker for iPhone is coming very soon, and every app we make after that is included too.

      How much does it cost?

$19, once. No subscription, no upgrade fees, and every future app is included. We know. In this economy.

What do I need to run the apps?

A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer). Tracker and Clipper need macOS 14 Sonoma or later; Marker runs on macOS 13 Ventura or later. Tracker for iPhone, when it arrives, will need iOS 17.

      Why “stupidly simple”?

Each app does one job. If a feature needs a manual, it doesn’t ship. We wrote a manual once. It was one page. We deleted the feature.

Do I really get future apps?

Yes. Buy the bundle once and every new Stupidly Simple app is yours when it comes out. No asterisk. We looked. Marker would have rendered it.

      Where does my stuff live?

On your Mac, in plain files. We never see it, and honestly we’re too busy making themes to look. When Tracker for iPhone arrives, it will sync through your own iCloud Drive.
